John Butt is a Partner in the firm's Commercial Litigation Group.

John was admitted as a Solicitor in 1993 and, prior to joining our firm in 2000, worked with another Queensland specialist local government law firm and with a local authority in the United Kingdom.

He specialises in commercial litigation involving local government, with a focus on construction disputes, general contract and tender disputes, planning and environment law, local government rating powers, and compensation claims following resumption.

John is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association ("AILA")  and the Queensland Environmental Law Association (“QELA") .
