Following a five-year term as a District Court Judge’s Associate, Michael joined King & Company as an articled clerk in 1997.  He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1998, became a Partner in 2008 and a part-owner of the firm in 2013.

With over 25 years of experience in the law Michael can provide ready access to solutions and outcomes in relation to:

  • planning and development;
  • environmental protection;
  • cultural heritage conservation;
  • building work;
  • compliance and enforcement;
  • local government powers and responsibilities;
  • protecting local government interest in relation to State development projects;
  • land acquisitions and compensation;
  • climate change liability implications;
  • planning scheme implementation, review and amendment, including adverse planning changes and compensation;
  • animal control.

Michael holds a current practising certificate from the Queensland Law Society, is a member of the Queensland Environmental Law Association (“QELA”) and an associate member of the Planning Institute of Australia - Queensland Division (“PIA”).
